Can high school students take courses at GMU or NVCC?

Can they take classes at those colleges? They are not even accepted.

Yes. My daughter took two years of a language at NVCC via dual enrollment.

Yes it’s called dual enrollment. But none of the classes my daughter took were accepted at her private college.

DP. it is entirely up to the school you are transferring them to. The only ones you know for sure are the state schools which have an agreement in place.

And you do need to be accepted. Since the DE program is with NOVA most FCPS students qualify. You get a Nova ID number, account, everything.

For NVCC, it is called independent dual enrollment. There are forms that must be filled out by the parent and the school counselor.

For GMU, you would be a non-degree student.
