St John's College was absolutely lovely, and specifically referenced, in an additional handwritten note, that they had loved one of my son's essays. They sent a fun little cardboard box with postcards, acceptance letter sealed with wax, and the Illiad as well. We felt bad declining.
W&M as also pretty, all in green and gold. Their likely postcard was handwritten as well. DS went elsewhere and I don't even recall what their college's acceptance was like! In the end, it's not about the announcement, but about the overall fit. |
