Best way to buy Visa gift cards?

| I have to buy several hundreds of dollars worth of Visa gift cards (room mom, ugh). What is the best/safest/lowest fee way of going about this? I usually get them at CVS but the fees kill me. |

| I did it at my bank, in person. There were fees but they were minimal. And that way I knew they were really loaded with cash. |

| Truist just stopped selling them but Navy Federal still does. |

The fees are a total rip off. Last year i just gave cash but i was doing solo gift not classroom one.
OP, are you shouldering the cost of the fees yourself or reducing the gift? I would consider a cashiers check or something to avoid fees. |
