Go to the company holiday dinner or blow it off?

Already resigned and will be there through mid January. Organization has experienced substantial turnover in the last year for a variety of reasons. Like anytime someone quits , a few people wish you good luck and others stop talking to you. Just seems kind of uncomfortable to go, especially when the restaurant is a almost 40 miles from my house.

Will you need these people for networking in the future?

I probably wouldnt go and they probably dont want you there if they were honest. Youre leaving for something better, not exactly a morale booster for everyone else from the company's perspective.

I would not go.

I would not go in your case.

Go if need networking.

My small company is pretty low key so I would probably go. Of course, I'm just a little worker bee; it might be a "bigger" deal for someone higher.

I will almost never turn down free food or drink.

That’s not what PP meant. LinkedIn is a connection not active networking unless you use it that way.
