…why? Why are you doing this? Please, I beg to know. Why the urgency at work? Is this not an exclusively at-home grooming activity?
Finally got noise-canceling headphones bc of TWO coworkers who always do this… full time RTO is killing meeeee |
| If I snag a nail on something, I'm going to clip it right then and there rather then deal with a jagged nail all day. I'm not doing all 10 on the regular. |
| Want to know a secret? My boss used to do this. At one point, our company was moving and he was out of town during the move so I had to pack his office. I "lost" his nail clippers. |
| I’ve worked with multiple people who have done this. I agree that it’s weird, but I also understand the convenience for some folks who may not be as busy to do this at work. |
| Nobody would notice a once off click. But the constant click click click as 10 nails are groomed is beyond gross and annoying. |
| I draw the line at clipping toenails in the office. |
| Men, right? one of them balding? name starts with a j? |
Pretty much this, I mean why would I sacrifice my free time at home to conduct personal hygiene when I can do it at the office right? /s/ |
| I'm personally most likely to notice that my nails have gotten too long when I'm typing, which most likely happens during the workday. I find the sensation of typing with too long nails to be painful so I'm going to stop doing whatever I'm doing an clip them then. I don't understand why clipping nails is so gross. |
Just go to the bathroom. Nobody wants your fingernail clippings flying all over the place. |
Same, but I'll do it over my trashcan. I'm only going to snip a straggly nail. I will say, the noise doesn't bother me. I don't think fingernails are gross. |
| this is terrible. do it at home. ick. |
| OP, I agree if it's fingernails, but toenails are not such a big deal, especially as most people cut them less frequently. |
| Nobody does this |
| My wife hates the sound. I do it in the office so I don't bother her. |
