Golden Globe and Critics Choice noms out.
A lot of overlap, as one would expect. Anyone else feel it's been a 'meh' year for film overall? https://deadline.com/2025/12/2026-golden-globe-snubs-surprises-wicked-for-good-ben-shapiro-joe-rogan-1236641353/ https://www.criticschoice.com/2025/12/05/nominations-announced-for-the-31st-annual-critics-choice-awards-hosted-by-chelsea-handler/ Chatter about the snubs of course, including Kiss of the Spider Woman. Looks like JLo's Oscar quest is dead in the water. I'm actually more surprised about the Totaniuh omission, since reviews were rapturous about his performance. |
| Tom Pelfrey wasn't nom'd for Task, what?? And Task didn't receive a nom for best drama series? Crazy. |
|
Where the heck is Predator:Badlands!?
Best movie I have seen in years, hands down. |
Pelphrey is most definitely a snub. How did Ruffalo get a nom and he didn't? I'm feeling the same anger I felt when he was snubbed for Ozark. Makes zero sense. |
He was Emmy nominated for Ozark, in the guest actor category. He lost to Colman Domingo in Euphoria. Don't watch Euphoria, so can't comment on the comparison. |
| I cannot believe Bella Ramsey got a nod for Last of Us. She is the worst actress ever. |
Agree. They (please use correct pronoun) had a brief shining moment in Game of Thrones, but has not impressed since. |
I know plenty who like the show, none who feel Bella was a great choice for the lead role. |
Predator Sadlands? You seriously think that piece of crap-tastic, cinematic garbage, was good?!? |
Everyone: save your money and an hour of your life; don’t waste them on this travesty of a film. |
+1. Here’s a summary instead |
| The netflix documentary on incels, Adolescents, has been nominated |
| I thought it was a great year for movies. Sinners, Mickey 17, Black Bag, Hamnet, The Life of Chuck, Weapons, One Battle After Another, F1, 28 Years Later...some were nominated, others weren't, but there were so MANY good movies this year! |
Agree--he was over the top good in Task |
I haven't loved any of these so far. Good, yes. Great and truly memorable, no. Holding out hope for Hamnet. |
