Infertility Support and Discussion
| Ladies, do you find that your ovulation happens near the time when your CM has a white appearance? I'm monitoring, and yesterday it was more stretchy and clear, but today, waking up, it looks white, less fluid. But according to my expected schedule, ovulation may only happen in 2 days. Thanks anyone, for your comments ... |

It should resemble eggwhite (clear, stretchy) around ovulation.
Some people never get eggwhite, though, so watery CM is the 2nd most fertile and for some people, that's the best they get. If it's creamy, though, that is less fertile. After ovulation, it can switch to creamy and then dry up. If you think your CM is an issue, try robitussin. It really works! |

Thanks PP, I appreciate hearing from you. That's what I'm afraid of, but it's strange that when I'm testing with the OPK, my apparent peak LH time is possibly after the white/more thick CM. So, just the other day, it was stretchy/clear. I obviously have to figure out what's going on ...
Interesting, never heard that about Robitussin ... |

You want your most fertile cervical mucous to be in the days leading up to ovulation. Often on the day of ovulation, it will begin to change and dry up; certainly by the day after ovulation you should notice a change. So if you observe EWCM in the days leading up to ovulation, that could be just fine.
Just google the robitussin thing - it is very common, safe, and some REs even recommend it with clomid cycles because clomid dries up CM. I only tried it once and it worked - I got pregnant that cycle! |
| Hi PP, thanks for the mention ... That makes sense, how you describe the changes. Great the Robitussin approached worked for you! |
