A year later: where did the Feynman kids end up?

Not sure I’ll get many responses.

If you are a former Feynman family where did you end up? Happy with decision? Miss anything about Feynman?

I ask as my family thinks of future with a kid who would have been a fit for Feynman and looking for alternatives

We still miss things about Feynman. It was a mixed bag—completely disorganized leadership—but there were some great teachers there and our kid had a great experience. He’s at a different private school now, which has been generally good, but we still miss aspects of the academic experience at Feynman. Generally kids are all over—some at public, some at private.

My child and their friend both went to Sheridan in DC and have done very well there. We've been very impressed with the academics, how well the teachers differentiate the curriculum, and the sophistication of the work that they are doing across all of their subjects. The electives include additional options like art, music, and even a geometry class. The high school prep (both academic and logistical support) is very strong. The school is warm; the faculty and administration took intentional steps to ensure our children were welcomed and included when they joined mid-year and continue to support our kids. We love being part of a school with so many wonderful traditions and a larger cohort of students who are kind and friendly. My child still misses their friends and the teachers at Feynman, but we are all very happy that they wound up at Sheridan. I would recommend it to everyone, including those with a very bright Feynman-type child.
