Will a 13 year old ever wear a jacket?

He was complaining because he had to wait a long time for the bus, when he doesn't wear to wear a jacket just hoodies

Yes, but when they are older and not to school. My 18 yo wears one now when he shovels and always wears long pants. At 13 he was waiting at the bus stop in shorts and a hoodie.

My 15 yo DD wears coats now but not to school and because they are fashionable.

I am a teacher and I don’t even wear one to work because I don’t have anywhere to put it. There is not that much room to keep it on the back of my chair. The kids don’t have lockers and they are a pain to carry. And those teen boys run hot.

Same as it ever was, little has changed. It's not a battle worth fighting... They will regulate as they see fit and natural consequences will help them sort it all out.

Is it possible they are just not that cold? It's interesting to me that parents get themselves worked up over this (not saying that's you, OP 0 if he is complaining about being cold, that's an obvious solution!)

Normal, mine doesn't get that cold and they don't have lockers and its hard to carry the backpack and jacket and not leave the jacket somewhere.

My boys (now 21 and 17) did but they don’t like being cold.
