HSPT Percentile Score Question

Anonymous
My DD is taking the HSPT this month, when taking practice tests she is getting 80%-85% of the questions correct.

Does anyone have any frame of reference to what percentile rank that may translate to based on when your DC took the test?

I understand that the percentile rank is based on the difficulty of the test and how a particular cohort performed on the test.

I am trying to get some sense of what the raw score may correlate to in order to determine if we should move forward with the test in Dec or reschedule for an early Jan test date.

Thank you in advance for the feedback!

Not PP but I’m also wondering how and if parents get results or do the schools just get them?

Schools get results much sooner than parents - like weeks sooner. If you call admissions of school to which kid is applying, they might tell you.

I would guess the percentile will be around 90th. It’s generally higher than the percent correct. So your 85% might get you to 90th percentile.
