humidifer

My kids have been having daily nose bleeding for the last few days when I pick them up from school. I know one kid picks noses & the other one does not. Any tips? I just turned on our new purchased humidifiers in their small bedrooms. Each is 0.8 gallon, and I am shocked to find out that I have to refill the water in them in between at 5am, and I turned them on at 10pm the night before. Their current room humidity level reading is 35% and I set humidifier to be 35% as well. Is 0.8 galloon too small for one day use or their rooms are too dry? Do you refill water every day? My last Cranedrop 1 gallon humidifier can last for 2 days at least. We are in dmv area, and it is raining outside now.
