| Hello-I know this is a shot but does anyone know a therapist who takes insurance (we have Aetna PPO) who can do virtual therapy in Maryland with a CBT, DBT, or ACT focus for my 12 year old Autistic son with ADHD/Anxiety? We cannot add another out of network medical cost to the mix at the moment so we need to go through insurance. His anxiety is really high at the moment. (We work with CT Gordon who’s been very helpful with meds). I know it’s a unicorn request but thought I’d ask! I’m having so much trouble finding someone. Thanks so much. |
| I don’t know if they do virtual, but this is a DBT practice that takes insurance: https://www.dbtcentergw.com/insurance |
Ok, sorry. I see you have Aetna and their website says BCBS. |

We see an ABA therapist through Continuum and some of their therapists are in MD and virtual and everything but copays are covered by insurance.
I know you want CBT but the the virtual ABA therapist has been really helpful for my dd with HFA. |
| I don’t have a specific provider but recommend that you call the customer service number on the back of the card and request that your child be enrolled in case management. You’ll be assigned a social worker or nurse who is tasked with helping you find appropriate providers within their network. If they can’t find an in network provider then there may be a mechanism to get them to cover the out of network providers at an in network reimbursement rate. It’s a pain, but it’s worth a try. I’ve had success doing this for a specific pediatric SLP need that was niche. |

Enter your insurance plan (Aetna), zip code, and what your looking for When the profiles pop up, ignore those not taking new patients, and contact at least a dozen who's profile looks like it might work. Some won't get back to you, some won't have times available that work for your schedule, but some will. Good luck |
| Thank you all so much for your replies! I appreciate it. |
