My DH wants a real fisherman's Irish sweater for Christmas. Where can I buy the true deal? Not LLBean or the like.

Blarney Woollen Mills

| Ireland. |
| This store has a great selection but it’s in Williamsburg! They have an online store too. https://scotlandhouseltd.com/pages/about-us |
| The Irish walk in old town closed but there’s a similar store in Annapolis. |
| Oconnellsclothing.com has great fisherman's sweaters for men at a fair price. Very nice quality. |

Great recommendation. |
Sooo...those are actually machine knitted in china and then the prices are simply sewn together in ireland. |
|
Just remember that tariffs will hike the price.
I ordered a $25 gift from Ireland, followed by a $15 charge from the post before it would ship. |
These are good quality. I have two of them, and they hold up well when cared for. |
| Another vote for Aran. |
How do you find out this info? I remember seeing a tiktok from a couple traveling in Ireland and they saw a handmade sign that just said "sweaters" on the road. They followed it and wound up at an old woman's house and she had stacks and stacks of sweaters she made herself. Apart from that, how do we make sure we're buying authentic stuff? |
| Just so you know a wool fisherman knit sweater is VERY warm. I could not wear one indoors. Also, read the washing instructions. If you use hot water, it will shrink. And, no dryer either. |
