Best LOCAL Meal Delivery (or Even Pick Up) Service

I live in Northern Virginia and am desperate to find a local meal delivery service for reasonably healthy, pre-made meals for my family. I'd like something family style with reheating instructions. Not vegan (my spouse won't tolerate it). I'll even pick up in or around DC if needed.
I've tried every meal kit and national meal delivery service, and they're pretty bad. They get super repetitive because they heavily emphasize ingredients that ship well. I'm also very much not interested in microwave reheated meals. I recently got Thanksgiving delivered from Rose's Luxury and it was amazing. Food quality was top notch and the food still tasted really good reheated. The reheating was a little complicated, but that doesn't bother me. Private chef service is tough because my long and unpredictable hours make managing a household employee difficult. If they prepped in their own kitchen and delivered, it could work. For reference, my sister in Manhattan uses a service called Jennie's Kitchen that is exactly the kind of thing I'm looking for. |

I've been using Vegetable and Butcher for years. I do really like them, but I just got Thistle for the first time this week.

They do. We've tried a few meals and I think you'll find they're not too much different from the other national delivery chains. |
