On Thanksgiving I majorly stubbed my big toe. The nail split and it was bleeding pretty decently, so I had to clip down the nail, and ended up removing my toenail polish. The toe in question was partially a different color, a reddish yellow, from the tip of the nail to midway. My mind immediately went to “nail fungus”, so I removed the rest of the polish on my toes but every other toenail looked healthy.
What are the odds this one toe—the one I injured—is the only toenail experiencing a fungus? Everyone thinks it’s a fungus because it’s still this blotchy brownish red color and not a purple black and blue like a bruise.
