Does Field have shadow days for applying or accepted high school students? There is no mention of them on the website or application.
Only for accepted high school students. Also they do it in groups (a group of accepted students observe classes so no individual shadow days, at least there wasn’t any last year).
Interesting! They used to have them. Since they had a model for it at one point, OP, you might be able to request it, especially if your kid wants to meet the peer group. That’s a guess though!
Have you gone to a weekend open house? I believe there’s one more in a couple weeks. We went in October. It was very immersive for parents and students alike. Better than most!

We applied last year. The Open Houses provided a chance for students to interact with various teachers. There were no shadow days prior to acceptance.
We were accepted and then DC had the opportunity to go on a group half day visit. DC really wanted to know if they would fit in with the students and the admissions director was kind enough to set up calls with current students. DC did select Field and has been extremely happy with the school. |
OP - Thanks everyone, this is all very helpful!
They do have shadow days, which seems new (or started up again). Applying for DC 9th and have one scheduled for January. Received an email about it probably since we have an application in.
