Looking for ideas to host a fun dinner party or heavy hors d'oeuvres with a private chef for 10-15, thinking a hibachi chef or something similar, max budget of ~$50 to $75 pp plus alcohol. Mexican, Japanese, open to ideas.
TIA. |

I used him for a private party years ago and he infused a cooking lesson into it. It was great and he was super easy to work with.

| Can you get an actual private chef for that price? |
| A hibachi chef would probably need to be outdoors unless you have very high ceilings and a really good vent. |

This was INCREDIBLE and they do it outside so they still do all the hibachi games and “surprises” (so you can only book during warmer months)

This was in DC? Or anyone have recommendations for a hibachi chef that'll do a private party in DC? |
Doubtful. You can barely go to a restaurant at that price point. Private chefs usually are closer to $150 per person on the low end. |
Yes, they have a DC “location” that’s seasonal (starts up in the spring again). They’ll come to your house and do the whole hibachi thing with a grill they bring and everything. It was awesome. |
Adding they give you a sh*t ton of sake too throughout the meal and make you count like at the restaurant and at the end they bring out a sake supersoaker as kind of a joke (but also not if you want to try it, which some people did). I don’t drink so he had a squeeze bottle of water he’d use for me instead. |
