| Our 13 year old DD is looking to improve skills for HS team. Not interested in club. Any suggestions for clinics in MoCo or nearby? |
Clubs organize fewer clinics during the season, but you have plenty of non-club options: https://volleymontgomery.wordpress.com/2025/11/22/2026-clinics/ |
I should have mentioned that - depending on what is your high school - your DD may not have a good chance of making het varsity team without club experience. If you share what your HS is, we could let you know whether this non-club approach is likely to work. |
This is better organized than what Montgomery County has on their website. |
+1 Volleyball used to be a walk-on sport at our high school, but the sport has exploded in popularity. This year, more than 70 kids tried out for JV. Several returning players were cut in favor of freshmen with club experience. That said, there are a few talented athletes who made the team based on their athleticism. They are multisport athletes. |
| Check Metro Club, they seem to have o going clinics. |
| Also, the St James offers private and semi private coaching with their vball coaches. |
This seems quite random on a thread talking about clinics. Why St. James? Are you aware of any club who doesn't offer private or semi-private coaching? |
I cannot find any Metro clinics - do you have a link? |
