So Jeff, we spoke before. I was wondering if any of those nasty comments being made on the nanny section are actual nanny employers are just people starting things. I am looking for a nanny position and would want to know if an future employer is one starting nasty comments in the nanny section.
I don't understand the spelling and grammar people who always insult people saying they must have never went to college to have errors. While I have gone to college and have a degree I know for sure my spelling is lacking. More or less it is the swearing and other nasty comments to follow... As a nanny looking for employment this isn't the only source I use but it is getting discouraging with all the hatred in the nanny section. |
If by the "nanny section" you mean the "Nanny Discussion" Forum, I haven't spent a lot of time figuring out who posts there. From what I have seen, there are non-nannies that post. They may not be employers, but just people who have opinions on the topic. A lot of the grammar-police posts appear to be American nannies who are upset with foreign nannies. Many of the most rude messages, including the vast majority of the rude responses to nanny search posts, are from obviously foreign nannies. So, that increases animosity toward posters whose first language is not English. Generally I think it is not very productive to attack people for spelling and grammar errors -- I make plenty of them myself. This is especially true when you are dealing with the nanny field in which foreigners are very common.
If you are finding your job search complicated by various replies, don't hesitate to report those posts. Just use the "report" button that is included with each post. |
Thanks... I am an American nanny haha but I do not spend time grammar and spell checking people.
Okay, I will use the report button. I send emails directly to families... Oh by the way, I have met a few families on here and some are just as rude as some of the nannies. As in interviews they offer higher salaries then do a switch when you get to their door. I just wish there was a way to out them before others waste their time but don't get attacking them on their post... |
Have a signed contract that states the agreed upon amount before you start. |
