Breads Bakery babka
Junior's Cheesecake Laduree macarons |
I had pizza shipped, and it was great. It was a deep dish from Chicago, and they shipped it frozen in dry ice. |
| waste of money |
The breads babka was seriously overhyped. I was so disappointed and was so angry about how much I paid for it. Juniors is available in grocery’ stores/costco and nobody should be paying goldbelly prices for it. The other suggestion is good although I think we do have local places that make great ones. Personally I would find a cake/pie etc from an exceptional out of state bakery that is something you definitely can’t get here. |

Laduree macarons are nothing special. Many local bakeries make them - e.g., Olivia Macaron. |
Laduree macaroons are at the same level as georgetown cupcake. Successful purely because of hype/tourists when there are tons of better options. |
| Luke's Lobster lobster rolls |
Agree with this. I bought a 12 pack of them in Paris from a Laduree shop. Chose flavors I wanted. They were not yummier than Trader Joe's. |
| We do a gift card so the recipient can choose their own food and have it delivered when convenient for them. |
| Veselka is always a hit and comes frozen so they don’t have to rush to eat it |
+1 We always try to let people choose the food they want to eat. Halloween is an exception. |
| I have ordered for myself or gifted (and tasted) Lou Malnatti's deep dish pizza, Ina Garten's coconut cake, and the Dips/spreads kit from Zahav. All were excellent and we order the pizza for ourselves once or twice a year. |
