Looking for a modern-style bed frame that minimizes motion transfer -- suggestions?

Can't take all the movements in bed from my partner. Please suggest a bed frame - links appreciated. Are platform beds better for this?

You might just need to tighten all the screws on your existing bedframe. When they become loose, the motion transfer increases by a significant amount.

After going through multiple wooden frames, we got a stainless steel bed frame from Room and Board or somewhere similar that’s held up for a decade so far.

Like the poster above, we got one from Room and Board and loved it enough that we ordered more to replace the other beds in our house. We also got the R&B platform boards that are sold separately. Rock solid.

I think you have a mattress problem, not a bed problem.

Thuma for bed sturdiness. Then you need to look at the type of mattress you have.

We have a plastic foundation from sleep number and there is no motion transfer. Idk if it’s the mattress but the foundation is ugly but very functional. Quiet, still.
