False 8 Futsal

My DS had a serious melt down after our scrimmage fest. We only had 1 sub but the talent was horrendous. We were told by coaches that our son would be moved around and possibly be moved to the top team but at no point did they switch teams and try new players. Anyone else having the same experience? TIA

Your kid had a meltdown after a futsal scrimmage? Sounds like he should go back to rec or you should work on your parenting skills.

doesnt matter. whats important is shaky IG clips.

Imagine paying a ‘company’ to prop up the followers numbers with bot accounts. What does this tell you about False 8?

no meltdowns (assume your player is a 17 or 16?), but experience with F8 is that coaches are quite familiar with players who regularly attend their trainings and will prioritize those players unless your player is truly IG worthy. their training is decent tho, so your DS should take it for what its worth .. try not to focus on what team but make the most out of the training opportunity.

We stopped hitting False8 trainings because my DD said the coaches only cared about the best players. She never felt welcomed...too many kids in the program, her concerns as a 10 year old were never really addressed. She was just told to do it faster. But I observed they didn't really care about her or technique. Lots of 7-9 year olds working hard and only a key number of kids were featured on IG. My kid felt lost in the sauce. She liked some of the other players, but she did sloppy reps and no one ever corrected her of cared if she did it anything well.

But they are seriously trying to put pressure on 9 and 10 year old kids, when those lessons are best suited for kids post puberty. Your post is not surprising as there is room for improvement and genuine engagement. The head Coach has angry teenager vibes and the other coaches barely coach.

We felt the same way too. False 8 only caters to Instagram famous kids in the area.

What is the player to coach ratio at training?

Same we did futsal with false 8 last year. Great training and my son definitely improved but he was moved around a lot due to the number of kids and wasn’t given the same experience of others.

Once I learned that the IG kids are asked to attend trainings at no cost or reservation we have done a lot less of it. While he would benefit here and there with it - I think it can be great supplemental training but I think doing the same thing over and over can also be overkill.

It's like 40 to 1. The head coach runs the show, the other coaches primarily facilitate the training stations. It would be like 10 to 1 if the other coaches did more coaching, but they have to do everything so fast, there is little to no time for coaching points or correction.

A session my kid attended that was a camp it was about 10-15 kids to 1 coach.

Future therapy carnage. Their parents are top-tier fools for allowing them to build a false image of themselves.
