Teens Should Play in Adult Leagues

Anonymous
Teens should play in adult leagues in their local Fairfax and Loudoun areas on top of their regular team’s trainings and games. Replace your individual training sessions and let playing in these games compliment your team’s training. You get to play with some decent talent and look at the game in another perspective.

have you seen those frail bodies?

Nobody is risking a lawsuit when these children are eating pop tarts, falling asleep at 2-3 am with doomscrolling and phones hitting their heads falling off hands, and barely hitting the gym.

U12 and u13 in Europe puts these ‘teens’ to shame

What adult leagues? I play in a 30+ rec league and would quit if there were teenagers. We are trying to have fun not put up with hormonal competitive immature kids. I leave my kids at home on purpose!

My kids did- but you need to right one’s. Not the fat beer league where your kid risks being maimed by middle aged men that can’t control their bodies.

Mine played up with the 19-27 age, serious ones, actual players.

One of my kids is currently playing in Germany, 20 with the 24-27 year olds.

I would be no help in finding it for you now. My kids are college age.

Yeah, the ones I am familiar with straight up disallow anyone under 18 from playing in them.

I wanted to get my 17YO and college soccer bound senior into an adult indoor league and couldn’t find one that would even allow it!

Wise advise. As a fat bloke pushing 40 I always inquire who are the young bucks so I can go HAM on them MOFOS. I take a double shout at the local pub when I achieve a ACL or something like that 6+ months out typeshyt

100%. One of the joys is adult league is playing with older guys and gals who aren't running all out all the time, know the game, and make smart plays. Any adult rec league is ruined by the young kids who come in full of piss and vinegar, trying to prove something.

To the clueless later poster: The adult is much more likely to be injured by a 17/18 year old kid, than vice versa. We all know we have to go to work the next day.

I (35+ male) got my legs swept by a HS girl at a pickup I used to play. I had a permanent Charlie horse in one leg for over a week. Stopped going and just do the age appropriate leagues now. I need to be able to walk at work.
