How much Tito’s vodka did someone drink if the jug was full

And now the level is even with the top of the label? One of those big 1.75L bottles. My belligerent sister in law was on a bender last night 🙄

All that matter is that it was clearly too much for her. Her behavior/reaction to the alcohol is what matters, not the amount.

You have a 1.75 L of vodka lying around? May be the entire family has a problem?

Pour the remaining amount into a measuring cup. Subtract from 1.75L

I was covid lockdown years old when I found out I have a local place that gladly delivers, now I buy 6 cases at a time around once a year.

On that day I have thirty-six 1.75L bottles of vodka lying around. I also have a wine subscription that sends me a case every 3 or 4 months.

I give a lot of it away, though.

Excellent life-hack instead of buying a single bottle at a time. (Or maybe death hack, who knows.)

Sounds like a good math problem for any kids in the family!

More than one person's share. If you think she has an issue, make the rest of the bottle magically disappear.

OP: oh, that shop has sailed. No question it’s too much and that’s not all she drank. I’m just curious how much it was

Oh, that's sad. Dealing with alcoholics can be stressful. Try not to let her bring you down.

I think a bottle of that has about 40 shots. So she drank about a quarter? Ten shots?

And before anyone asks, I planned a wedding recently and had to calculate this!

I don’t know where the label is, but I’m guessing she drank the equivalent of half a bottle of wine, but in vodka…

Says who?

Says ChatGPT:
Short answer: roughly a third of the handle is gone – about 500–600 mL, which is around 10–13 standard drinks.
Here’s how that breaks down:
A 1.75 L “handle” = 1,750 mL ≈ 59 fl oz ≈ 39 standard 1.5 oz shots.

On a typical 1.75 L Tito’s bottle, the top of the label is somewhere around ⅔ of the way up the main body of the bottle (the wide part under the shoulder).
If the level is now even with the top of the label, that usually means about ⅔ of the bottle is still there and about ⅓ has been drunk.
So:
Consumed: ~0.5–0.6 L (500–600 mL)
≈ 17–20 fl oz
≈ 11–13 standard 1.5 oz shots
Roughly 70% of a regular 750 mL bottle of vodka
If you want to be super precise, you could pour what’s left into a large measuring cup or two and subtract from 1.75 L, but for a quick eyeball estimate, “about a third of the handle, ~12 drinks” is a good ballpark.
