I have the same issue. It really handicaps my ability to comment on the Trump Fashion mistakes thread. Please, can we get a step by step guide ?

I'm not going to give the step by step, but it's much easier if you use the full reply & preview. Essentially you use the IMG tag and make sure the link is in the middle . You also need to have a direct link to the image file.

I followed the PPs instructions. I'm also on a computer, not my phone.

1. I hit Post Reply, not Quick Reply
2. I right clicked on the image I wanted and opened it in a new tab. I copied the url
3. In the reply window, I clicked on in the IMG tag.
4. Paste the url
5. Click on the IMG tag
6. Preview or Submit

Apparently some threads and subforums on here don't allow pictures. Have noticed it a few times when trying to add a picture to help describe a topic.

This is how you post the image of Eileen Gu. Get the image address URL, put it between the open and close marks of the "img" tag by clicking on the Img button. The open mark is [img], and the close mark is [/img]. You have to click the button twice to get both marks if you are clicking the button first, pasting the url after the open mark and then clicking the button again after the url to close the mark.

An easier thing is to paste URL first, select it with no leading or trailing spaces, and then click the image button. Both open and close mark of the tag will be put in the right place. Something like below -
