I need to buy a fridge. Kitchen is stuck in the 70s. Countertops are small square white tiles. Double oven is white. Giant antique built-in microwave is white. Dishwasher is white.
Do I buy a white fridge, to match, or do I buy a stainless steel fridge, to come into the 21st century? I will live here at least 2-3 more years, maybe longer, but I’m not doing any major renovations to the kitchen. My guess is at least one other appliance will die while I own this house but not all. |
| My phone is acting up. Did not mean to post that crazy subject title! |
get a new phone with that money first and then, repost |
| Buy the cheapest white refrigerator. Next owner will likely remodel kitchen and your new fridge will be thrown out. |
| Even though I own them, I really dislike stainless steel appliances. I’d get a white fridge. |
Stainless will go with anything. but why go into "trends"? It will just look dated. Plus stainless will get scratched by magnets and bad housekeepers. |
Just a glitch with the A.I., nothing to worry about. |
Resistance is futile. |
Just thought it was a new swedish ikea line. |

If you’ll just be there a couple of years, I’d buy a white fridge to match the other appliances.
If you were there for the long haul and planning a kitchen makeover, I’d tell you to get the stainless, but since that’s not your plan, just stick with the white. |
| It's not the color of basic white fridges that bothers me. It's the mottled texture. |
