Third round options on Woodward Boundary study

Sounds like the district will share new maps in early December, with new engagement sessions (virtual and in person). So, an added step to the previously communicated process. Any insights into what we expect to see?

Well, the did JUST distribute an email mentioning, "Board Puts Equity and Access First in Boundary Study and Program Analysis Update." So I'm guessing we're back to Round 1, Option 4.

I think these new options will mainly be to show the potential options if SSIMS were approved to become a holding school, how its students could be divided up between Sligo and Eastern.

That doesn't mean anything. Anytime the BOE or MCPS use the word equity just replace it with a blank space to translate what they actually mean when they use that word.

That's what they've said -- additional option will just be accounting for this. It would only be some vague divergence from the second round options.

These will be the leaders. If your neighborhood is zoned to something that makes you unhappy with, quickly get in your private school applications. Expect to be unhappy bc the equity train trumps all other concerns.

That was only true in one of the first round options. The round two options didn't emphasize equity at all.
