| Mine (first-year) has a solid month off. She'll use some of the time for R & R, but she doesn't want to just sit around all month. She'd like to work, but the timing for seasonal retail help isn't good (by the time she was trained, she'd only be useful to them for about 10 days). She loves to babysit, but that can't really fill one's days. Maybe volunteer work? What kinds of things are our imaginations not thinking of? What are other kids doing? |

My junior is going to Barbados for a class trip for 2 weeks. The rest of the time, just hanging out.
Prior years my kids have generally just relaxed, hang out with friends, sleep a lot, and we'd take a 1-week trip someplace. |

| OP here. She just found out that our city has a program for underserved kids for December, and she is going to...be an elf. Right up her alley, plus I'm sure after spending several afternoons with hyped-up kids, she will be begging for rest. |
| Sleeping and spending time with family |
| DC got invited to MX with his GF/family. But I didn't! waaahhhhahahahhhhhh |
| Well, my DS will sleep for a week, then BS with his HS friends for another week, then he will join us on an "ugh, so boring" family trip to Switzerland. Where he will do some boring skiing, eat some boring food, and hang out with his boring parentals. |

Senior kiddo will be updating their resume for the fall semester projects / highlights and looking into after college-stuff.
|
| Sleeping, meeting friends from high school, applying for research, and of course, hanging out with the coolest parents around😎 |
| Whatever they want |
| Hanging out, sleeping, applying for internships |
| Working crazy hours to pay their spring break trip. |
| Mine is gojng back to school to work her on campus job for a couple weeks then will hang out a see friends for a week and then go on vacation with us for a week. |
| My DS is babysitting a colleagues’ child while she has surgery. I’ll babysit for a few days and my son has all of January off. |

Mine only has two weeks off due to sports Commitments. She is planning on working (lifeguard) and making sure her summer job is in order. Also the first week, she’ll be doing all things Christmas - wrapping presents, baking, trip to NYC.
I’m glad it’s not longer. We don’t have a car for her to drive so it would be annoying to always be asked to change plans to get her places. My older one works while he’s at school. His plan is to pick up more shifts. |
