Better to buy Vienna vs. Mclean

Anonymous
Is it better to buy a SFH in the Oakton high school district or an older townhome in Kings Manor in McLean (Langley)? Budget is around $1.3M. What is a better long term investment?

Always better to purchase SF vs TH, across the board within Fairfax County. Higher % appreciation. Vienna is also desirable location and Oakton HS is sought after (#4 ranking in Va) and moving up in the rankings.

DP. If OP just wanted that pyramid they wouldn’t have asked the question.

Not everyone seeks the school pyramid above....don't make incorrect assumptions. Also, learn to infer when reading

I would totally disagree with this. And I have lived in both.

McLean is always going to be more desirable than Vienna because it's in a more desirable location.

And the McLean schools are better as well.

You going to great lengths to prove something but the op post was to debate purchasing a TH in McLean vs SF in Vienna. Can you read?

They are both good choices, you should decide what location works best for your job and if you really need/want a SF vs a TH - pros and cons to both choices.
Anonymous
Vienna has more country clubs than McLean.
