Is everyone still taking the science section of the ACT?

Our ACT prep place recommended taking the science section, even though it’s optional now, because no one knows if colleges will still want to see them. Are others hearing the same thing?

MY DC is interested in Bowdoin, and we called admissions beofre they took it and they said not to.

Yes. Mine took the science section although it’s not included in the composite score.

My DC took with the science, but you don’t have to self-report it at 99% of schools. You can leave it off and they never see it.

Does anyone know if science always comes last now that it’s optional? DS loses focus and stamina (even with his ADHD meds), so his last section is always his worst.

He took it last summer (current Senior) so it is for him. Those that have the old version have it included.

^ purposely set to get it done before the new version in Sept. He took it June and July.
