Tatiana Schlossberg thread

Anonymous
Hi Jeff, can you please explain why all critical posts of Tatiana Schlossberg were deleted from the entertainment thread? It is very sad she has terminal cancer, which is a tragic personal tragedy, but given that she just published a very public essay in which she made explicit political arguments, is it not reasonable that there would be both positive and negative public reactions to it?

Also, for context, her brother is currently running for US Congress from Manhattan, and so it seems plausible there are political implications there too.

Just trying to understand the rules here. Thank you!

OK, but she’s not dead yet. In fact, she just published the article yesterday. Are we only allowed to say “thoughts and prayers” while she makes whatever political points she and her family want? That’s not very fair or balanced.

Move those comments to politics and have at it.

I removed a discussion about RFK jr. which was political and took the thread off-topic and I removed a post that was very rude about her mother's marital situation (as well as the replies to that post). The thread is in the Entertainment forum and political discussion does not belong there.

You really want to cape for Bobby Kennedy that badly?

The man is HHS Sec. and an heir to one of the most powerful families on this earth. I promise you he can handle a couple throwaway paragraphs criticizing his decision to cut research funding from his niece who is dying.
