Don't you enjoy wage slaving to make money so you can give approx 50-70% of your lifetime income over to taxes, fees, licenses, registrations, etc.? Such fun!

All life sucks tbh. It's just an experience, and then you die. You try to make meaning out of it but it's all meaningless. Hoping to die soon.

I didn't feel like that at 18 working 10-12 hour shifts. What sucked was being mistreated while at work. No contract, no breaks, below minimum wage, bounced checks, trips to ER from work, and sleeping at work among other things.
I recognized very early on that they best thing to do it to get out of the work force. I invested ca $500 a month for years and made it happen.
After sitting at home a bit, I decided to go back to work very part time. Work does not suck anymore as I only need to make $10k from earned income.
I don't have a tax expense and I won't. My only big expenses are $2500 for housing and $200 for health. Housing will go way down at retirement.
Life is good.

Hopefullly AI will replace all jobs and then people will only work because they want to.

Yes I agree OP. You can “like” your job or at least the version of work you put up with, but still want to not work or retire.

The older I get, the more I realize, the corporate system is messed up and that even the theory though I like my job, there are parts of it I loathe: the income inequality, the corporate politics, the commute, the fear of layoffs, the disloyalty to the worker, the poor decisions that leaders above me sometimes make.

Will still have to dress ourselves, wash ourselves, walk around... at least until floaty chairs and self-color-changing clothing comes along. Going to be rough.

They explicitly state that it is a corporate job twice in their post.

You have to be the same PP. Good lord, life must be rough for some here. Like talking to an A.I. with no humanity.
