where to find a few European ingredients

Anonymous
I live in NW DC and work in Tysons.

Looking for
- stem ginger - jar with balls of ginger in a syrup.
- muscavado sugar
- ground almond (not flour but ground almond meal which is a little grainier than flour).

Any ideas of where these might be found? Without spending too much time hunting? Big suburban grocery (like safeway or Giant in Mclean?) What about the Wegmans in Tysons?

Amazon has all that. They even source some items from grocery stores in the UK.

There's a new European market in Oakton. Try that.

Rodman’s on Wisconsin in upper NW is a treasure trove of imported international goodies. Worth a look.

Ew, unless it's Whole Foods or Amazon Fresh do not ever buy food or cosmetics from Amazon. It's not safe or regulated.

Rodmans would be my first stop - you can also find some of those items in the food section at world market.

Since everyone has already given the choice I would have -- Rodman's -- I'll just give you my sympathy for having to commute from NW to Tysons! Yuck.
