Nov 2025 Dow dropping over 1100 points from its high to a low point,

I'm trying to see why the sentiment was so volatile today?

The good news from NVDA and AI trade I think was the trigger for the boost, but then the "good" jobs data and the delay of additional jobs data made it drop because it might slow the Fed in rate cuts? But AI is moving ahead whether rates are low or flat -- not sure why that was such a severe reaction? Was there concern that the jobs numbers were funny? I just don't see why it went bad so fast.

4th quarter typically has minimal growth. My FA told me not to expect much this month.

I think AI bubble talk is intensifying.

Yep. DH is a lobbyist in the financial industry and he’s hearing a lot of people he meets with (CEOs etc) saying a crash is coming (bank run is the specific language) and they’re getting out of equities for the time being / hoarding cash / etc. FWIW we’re gonna ride it out and stay in the market but we’re also pretty young. Would take a different approach if 40s/50s.

jobs report was late, and when it finally came, unemployment was up.

We had an up and down today because even though more jobs were created (which was a surprise), unemployment was also up.

Wall Street is fickle and often entirely irrational. Don't read too much into it.

We're very exposed to AI and we're staying in the market.

NVDIA beating expectations turns out to be a bigger sign of a bigger bubble. All these AI companies are intertwined. And that's a pretty big part of the market.

I kept fking trying to tell people to move into defensive assets like bonds, but you naysayers were all “you can’t time the market!!!l”

Well, who’s right now, suckas????!!!! Mwaaaah ha ha. I moved my port into gold and my tsp into G and when this dog and pony show of a market comes tumbling down I am moving that sht into VGT, TQQQ at the bottom and riding it all the way up.

You folks can boglehead it all out till your hearts content and keep all your money in “voo and chill” even as the market falls and you watch as your values drop and wait 5 years for it to go back up. I am taking big moves. I don’t give a fk!

Market tanked after Lisa Cook's comments at Georgetown, these people need to weigh their words carefully.

The Dow is still up for the quarter. Coming down from a peak earlier this month is hardly some major crash. You can’t expect it to go up every week.

If you believe TQQQ and VGT are bound to rise, why do you think it has to crash? Many investors may have a longer perspective than even you.

Yes, I’m sure that CEOs are saying “bank run”. There’s definitely an AI bubble, but any losses associated with it are far from a crash.

My whole point is we have devastated our economy with tariffs and layoffs and the chickens are coming home to roost soon. That and AI is over valued now and NVIDIA is propping up the market. We are having the true rate of unemployment and inflation hidden from us. All this leads up to a big cyclical crash.

I moved into gold and bonds and when that comes and VGT is 1/3 or half off I will sell my defensive assets and buy it and then in 5 years when we rebound I come out way ahead of you folks who just say and spun on your thumbs and kept dca’ing into VOO. My point is I am going to time the market and ignore conventional Bogle head wisdom about that.

I’m doing it and all you player haters can sit and spin. Especially that guy who buys Tesla stock on here.
