Any recommendations for dental insurance providers?

Do you have any recommendations for dental insurance providers? I’ve been with GEHA for a few years, but I haven’t had a good experience with their claim processing this year. I’ve always visited the same dental clinic, which GEHA had consistently treated as in-network, but earlier this year they mistakenly processed my visit as out-of-network. It has taken months to resolve and still isn’t fixed. Because of the issue, I essentially stopped using the plan for the rest of the year—I only used it once for a routine cleaning (which was processed as out-of-network), yet I’ve still paid the full yearly premium.

Do you have MetLife high? or standard?

I have BCBS. I hate that the plan is basically treated list secondary but im not sure that is unique to BCBS. The dental office has to bill my medical insurance first and get it denied before they will pay the dental claim. I have tried to explain this method to many a dental biller; its so annoying.

Dental PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) vs. Dental EPO (Exclusive Provider Organization)

For dental providers who are in PPO, do most of them also in EPO?

EPO premium is much cheaper.

Either Metlife or Delta Dental. Delta's premium is higher.
