CM changes/Wetness/then Ovulation (?) ...

Anonymous
Not wanting to hijack other posts on monitoring ovulation, so I'm writing here to ask if others can relate ... I've been using OPKs for a while, and observing CM. It's unusual (maybe not?) that I get the wetness and mucus changes, and it seems by the day I get the positive OPK that it's less moist/receptive (that is, feels tighter) down there. From what I've read/heard, leading up to ovulation it will get wet, with the stretchy CM. And, if one has intercourse at that time, then say in 2 days when ovulation happens (and it's "more dry" down there), the egg will still be viable and meet with the sperm (?) In any case, do other women out there also have this type of pattern, or do you typically remain more wet/receptive down there even until ovulation day? For me the trouble is that nearing supposed ovulation day, I am feeling tighter and just less comfortable for intercourse ...

What I meant, of course, is that would the sperm be viable after that time, if intercourse happened in advance of the egg release. I know sperm can stay alive for a few days. In any case, my problem like I mentioned is the tightness leading up to the O day. If anyone else has similar trouble, and any input, I'd appreciate the input. Thanks.

Do others also have difficulty with penetration before or on ovulation day?

I experience a similar pattern. Apparently, this is quite normal from what I read. We use pre-seed (the lubricant that doesn't harm sperm) to have sex on the ovulation day.

PP, thanks for mentioning. I'm starting to feel very anxious because I've just been unable to have intercourse at those peak times. I should look into the lubricant you mention.
