The Wedding People is the number one beach book that stands out to me

Elin Hilderbrand is generally another solid choice for that kind of genre/mood

Liana Moriarty is another author with some good casual reads, my favorite of which was What Alice Forgot

Abby Jimenez has some fun rom coms that would be good for the beach (be sure to read them in order, she does a lot of sequels and it's helpful to do them sequentially)

Bill Konigsberg is an author I found because I like the narrator who does the audiobooks and I like the Bridge and Destination Unknown, both are basically smartly written teen dramas

Jonathan Tropper is excellent if you've never read him - very funny and easy to read

If you liked the Hunger Games I thought Sunrise on the Reaping was great (I liked it better than the Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes)

If you've never read Kevin Wilson, he's a pretty quirky author with some fun characters

Fredrik Backman is another author I love, and he has plenty of books including a trilogy

I love Stephen King so I'll recommend almost anything by him as well

For what it's worth, I've read all the books you liked so I think we have similar tastes but if you want ones closely tailored to that kind of book or some one offs of newer authors I've found I can add some more

Enjoy your vacation!

I liked many of those books OP and I would recommend What Kind of Paradise by Janelle Brown

Op here: just picked up The Lion Women of Tehran on the lucky day shelf! I have read of few of these books (Wedding People), but many I haven’t. Very excited to dig into some new authors. For the Bachman readers, I have loved everything by him but My Friends was a DNF.

I just started Long Bright River by Liz Moore on the recommendation of a friend and i think it fits the tone you're looking for - it's great so far!

More info on the vacation? Is it active like skiing or get comfy near a fire and can delve in to the book?

The Doorman by Chris Pavone might be good one— not atmospheric but a modern day Bonfire of the Vanities

The Resort by Sarah Ochs
