Virginia 529 accounts

Anonymous
How do I open more Virginia 529 accounts? We like Aggressive Growth, for example because our child is young. Besides two accounts created for the child by me and spouse, can we each open one for ourselves and make our child the beneficiary?

In fact, Admin please remove my post. I realize this is a customer support question.

Just go to where it has new application or open a new account on the website and fill in the information like you did the first time. We have a whole lot of accounts for each parent/child.

Didn't see your second part. But they can be:
mom- child A - Moderate
mom - child A - Aggressive,
mom - child A - Inflation protected, etc.

You don't need to make yourself the beneficiary.

I only want Aggressive at this point, or Total stock index. Customer service let me know that I can create an account for myself with child as beneficiary.

Don't do it. Google negatives of 529.

Why do you need so many accounts? Can’t you just change your allocation?

Virginia residents can deduct up to $4000 per 529 account per year. Multiple accounts will allow us to maximize the deduction.
