Student body decrease? No. They have financial issues but have no problem with enrollment thanks to their ED programs. |

| They will be ok. They just need to abolish all those staff positions which are along the lines of Assistant Deputy Dean of Student Satisfaction, as well as the snarky middle-aged women playing Solitaire on their computers that you have to get past to talk to the Assistant Deputy Deans. |

It was an exceptional experience for me and my friends in the 90s. Spectacular education—all of my circle went on to top grad or law schools and excelled. That said, it has always been endowment poor and its isolated location makes it a tough sell today. Hope they find a path forward. |

Kenyon will be fine. My kid is ED there and an athlete. Endowment isn't huge but solid on a per student basis. I think this is more a rethinking of their prior plan to increase enrollment. Agree with the earlier commenter that plenty of rich families sending their kids there and plenty of good outcomes for FA kids who end up being loyal donors. If you are a believer in a strong liberal arts foundation which is heavy on writing, Kenyon is among a handful of schools that should be on your short list.
As for the location, it makes the school a bit self-selecting. For my child, the setting was a key attracting feature. |

$680 million for a student body of 1,700 is not "endowment poor." Elon's endowment is barely half that for a student body four times larger. That's endowment poor. Christ. |
