| Please tell me about the most decadent Thanksgiving or "holiday" spread you've either set out or experienced as a guest. I'd love to hear about unusual decadent items. TIA |
Thank you!! This is what I'm looking for -- except they don't post their menus. This is the direction I need too look in though. |
I don't get it ... that's just a landing page for what is available at some hotel. Nothing to do with a Thanksgiving dinner at all. Or any dinner. |
| I'd look at Martha Stewart holiday menus. She's always been a bit over-the-top with it all, of course. |
It's the "what is available" part that is interesting. Obviously. They have holiday meals. |

I always think of amazing appetizers for this: king crab leg sections, bacon wrapped scallops, foie gras.
Beef Wellington makes a good decadent entree. |
LOL |
There are zero "holiday meals" in that "what is available" list. There isn't even any "holiday meal" information if you click on the dining link. So ... not so "obvious" at all. Not even existent at all. |
Minus the bacon this is essentially our menu unless we're traveling. foie gras mousse shellfish: king/lobster/scallops wellington, or prime rib |
You navigate the website linked and there is a picture of a glass of sparkling wine with what looks to be a slice of buche noel, and a picture of a buffet with a chef putting out something? Not even sure what it is he's putting out? So if this is the suggestion given to consult for an idea of what makes a decadent Thanksgiving spread ... well that is pretty pathetic. Not even a menu there. Nothing. |

FYI, “decadent” means “in decline,” not luxurious, scandalously self-indulgent, etc. So the perfect example of a “decadent” Thanksgiving would be a previously reliable restaurant serving an insipid, watery buffet. |
+1 I saw the Thanksgiving 4 course prix fixe, but it did not provide any specifics. No menu items. Brunch it listed items, which included roast Turkey (snore). |

Butter board
Table entirely covered with charcuterie |
