| Due to a family concern, I can’t be at my company’s leadership retreat next week. It is for c-suite and directors, so about 15 people in all and staying between 3 rental houses with the largest being where meetings as well as breakfast and lunch will be held. Would it be nice or ridiculous to send something like boxes of nice chocolates? I feel really awkward not going, though everyone is understanding about it. Im the newest member of the team and we’re all remote, so it feels particularly awkward. Thoughts? |
