What is the new Skechers shoe?

When I was a kid, my. mom would buy me Skechers shoes because they were cheap. Nowadays, they cost almost as much as the name brands (maybe they are a name brand now), so what is today's version of Skechers? Decent shoes that are not XYOIWKD on Amazon that don't cost $80?

Shop at DSW and Famous Footwear on sale.

In my area, you can go to a Walmart-like chain called Meijer that sells weaker brands that are still good.

I got an awesomely comfortable model of sneaker there for $40. I ended up going back and buying two more pairs. Brand was Dr. Scholl's. Who knows who owns that brand now.

I'm from Michigan, I know and love Meijer!! DSW is like Skechers - it's gone from being a discount shoe store to being a regular shoe store with regular prices. I long for the days of good retail shopping and separate discount retail shopping. The internet (and Amazon) have ruined retail.
