Warmer in Boston than Florida this morning?

This morning's low in Boston was 34°, but it was a chilly 32° in Jacksonville, FL.

Those poor kids who went south for the weather.

I think OP, that the average college student will be able to grasp that Florida being colder than Boston is an outlier event.

The weather right now is a bit goofy, even in the north. My kid is at a school that has experienced a little snow, but the temps were 18 degrees below average. The feels like was actually colder here this morning.

The temp may have technically been colder in Jacksonville but the “feels like” temp in Boston was 20 and felt colder. It’s still currently at a “feels like” of 20 while Jacksonville is back into the mid 50’s.

There are flukey things every once in a while. I mean, my friend in AL got snow yesterday. We here in DC did not.

I am personally never sending a kid South to college, but this is a goofy argument when the average temps are warmer. It’s one day.
