Gift ideas for 7 year old boy?

Anonymous
Looking for broad strokes here - what are some "90% of boys would like this" ideas? I have a girl and feel comfortable shopping for girl's presents in this age bracket but I'm not sure what the boys are up to, and this is for a kid we're not in a class with anymore so she can't ask him in person. Pokemon? Minecraft? Legos? Dinosaurs?

Ideas welcome; would prefer not to do a gift card. Somewhere in the $20-25 range preferred.

I have a 7-year-old boy. You cannot go wrong with Legos! Beyond that, it tends to be more specific to their interests.....

I would get a Minecraft Lego set

agree with lego - if you don't know interests, I like to get the creator ones where you can rebuild them as different things.

Give Target gift receipt also. That way if it's redundant, they can exchange it.

I posted legos above, but yes, I love these as gifts because it's hard to know their specific interests but they can build 3 different things, which most kids like.

I also have a seven year old boy and agree with Legos being a safe bet. Lego cars where they can play with the finished product are especially good.
