We loved Bete but they closed. Try Beteseb or Meleket. You can’t really go wrong with either.

I can’t say it’s the best in Silver Spring but we always enjoy Beteseb.

+1 Love this place. It's the best Ethiopian I've ever had (am not Ethiopian but eaten a lot of it in DC and Maryland).

Meleket. Especially if you’re eating in. So pleasant!

OP here. The restaurant only had 1 hostess/server. It took forever to get simple items. (menus, drinks, water). When we finally received our food, everything was cold. I'm sure everything was sitting waiting to be taken out to us. We did not send the food back though, we waited long enough for it to come out the first time. The food was tasty, but the temperature really threw it off. I would not go back since there are so many other Ethiopian restaurants in the area. Yes, I did tell her the food was cold. She said sorry, but didn't offer to do anything about it. I may write a review on the website or put something on Yelp.
