SLAC interview request - how soon after applying?

Should applicants expect an interview request within two weeks of the ED deadline? What are your thoughts on timing?
I hate hearing that these alumn interviews don't hold much weight. It's a lot for kids to prep and make the time for, especially knowing chances are they may not get in. |

It varies entirely by interviewer. I had twins last year who applied to the same SLAC.
One had an interviewer reach out a few days after she submitted the application, the second had a frazzled interviewer call her out-of-the-blue in early December and say: "I have to submit this today by midnight, can we talk right now?" |
