When could excepted feds receive backpay whenever shutdown ends

Putting aside whenever this might end (after Thanksgiving? - no one knows), when might excepted workers see backpay? So many admins were DOGE’d, have accepted VERAs now during shutdown, etc., so I’m trying to figure this out with college tuition due and losing my federal contract being cut earlier this year.

What's sensationalized about literally quoting emailed notices? Trump made the same statement yesterday on Truth Social.

And sorry if I don't believe the promises of an Administration which has functionally eliminated agencies without congressional approval, and is actively lying to courts on a daily basis. Odds are yes people will eventually get paid- but nothing is guaranteed nowadays.

They aren't being an a$$, they are being realistic. We are feds, and have heard scuttlebutt that the administration is going to try not to pay people who weren't working. Is there law contrary to that? Yes. Will it stop them from trying to deny some of us the pay? I don't know.

Last time, it was within a couple of days. Our payroll has been calculating all the checks - we’ve been getting two paystubs - one with all zeroes and one that is what it was supposed to be. As soon as they reopen, the bulk funds will be pushed to the right pots according to the paystubs we should have gotten.
