15U girls still looking for a club chance

Any advice for a really hardworker who desperately wants a chance but is 1 year in? She has a great serve and is consistently improving but it is hard when you do not have competitive play opportunities. She is hoping wait lists will get her a chance but it is not looking great. Appreciate any help.

Yesterday, MOJO announced they were adding another 15s/16s team this year. That could be an option!

RVA was desperately looking for players (but it comes with a large club fee and a lot of travel). I am not sure if they are desperate enough to accept beginners at 15 level. Another option is Platform - they always have beginners on bottom teams.

Did she devote her summer and fall to playing as much as possible? Every clinic and camp that she could find? If not, please have her do so starting now. You can blame the lack of competitive play, but if she is hungry, she can play a ton of volleyball in the off-season.

DMV is still having tryouts today and tomorrow. However, similarly to the RVA description above, they cost a lot and there is is quite a lot of travel.

PP here. Should’ve specified that I was referring to DMV Academy which practices in Rockville.
