Crockpot Recipes - No tomato, peppers

Please share your favorite easy crockpot recipes! I’m in a rut - and have a tomato and pepper allergy to content with. Ideally no cream cheese either but personal preference.

Spare ribs!

Bolognese spare ribs ..I never use tomatoes or tomato paste in bolognese. Serve over fettuccine or rigatoni
Korean - bulgogi is you don’t like spicy, gochuong sauce if you do. Serve over rice
French - red wine etc with crusty bread
English -stout beer, carrots etc over mashed potatoes

Slow Beans and berries:

5 cups water
1 cup Dried white beans
3/4 cup Wheat berries
4 Red potatoes halved
1 onion sliced into rings
2 tsp minced garlic
3 tsp Turmeric
4 tsp Cumin
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Combine and cook 8-10 hrs on high heat.

I omit the corn and celery, and use a jar of salsa verde instead of the green chilis.

Not PP but white bolognese is a thing.


I think the no tomatoes in bolognese is the more authentic way it’s made in Italy. The milk is an important ingredient. The end color is a light orange not red.
