class DoJo-what is this thing?

Anonymous
Our kid's ES teacher asked us to sign up and get the app, and I've been getting posts about how many Dojo "points" my kid gets per day (fine, but there's no detail about where the points were earned, so it's not particularly useful) plus also a lot of spam messages asking me to pay for tutoring and the more expensive version of the app. Is this actually of any use or can I delete this app off my phone?

Our teacher uses it for communication, does yours? That's the main thing it does for us.

We also do get information on what points are for in the app. It'll say like +1 points, working hard, green table.

It's absolute trash but you do get a few photos of class.

Just one of the many stupid apps MCPS makes you download. It's annoying and not necessary.

We had a teacher who used it a couple years ago. Occasionally it was used for communication but mostly it was a behavior management/incentive thing for the kids (get points for following the rules, win prizes for getting a certain number of points.)

This was one of the dumbest apps we saw during school.
